LOGO REDESIGN

Objective: This project was to refresh the existing logo for a photographer with 45 years of experience in the business.

 

Research and Ideation: Conducted an in-depth interview with the photographer to understand their brand identity, emotional attachment to the existing logo, and desired keywords for the new design: fresh, modern, fun, unique, classic, and elegant. The year of establishment must be included in the new logo design.

 

Design Development: Using the abstract camera lens as a jumping-off point for the design concept, I aimed to blend classic and refined styles. Selected the most promising design direction and refined the logo to for the perfect balance between the photographer's brand identity and a fresh, modern look. 

 

Result: This project showcased my ability to conduct a thorough client interview to deeply understand their brand and design preference, translate abstract concepts and client inspiration into a cohesive, refined logo design, and balance the need to preserve the emotional attachment to the existing logo with the desire for a modern, unique aesthetic.
